PT Bintang Toedjoe achieved achievements in the International Quality & Productivity Convention (IQPC) 2024 award event. The prestigious international event held at The Manila Hotel One Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila, Philippines was organized by the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ) in collaboration with the Indonesia Quality & Productivity Management Association (IQPMA) and Wahana Kendali Mutu (WKM) on 9-12 September 2024.

Pissa Christanti as a representative of the QCJ Redgine NextGen team of PT Bintang Toedjoe brought a project entitled Enhance the Supply Chance of Red Ginger by Using Temporary Immersion System. In his presentation, it was conveyed that tissue culture of Red Ginger plants, especially those supported by the Temporary Immersion System (TIS) is a sophisticated and transformative tool in modern agriculture and pharmaceutical raw material development. Through updated techniques in growing plants in a controlled environment, it becomes a tremendous potential for plant improvement, conservation, and research itself. By utilizing the advantages of tissue culture technology, disease resistance, increased yields, and increased productivity of target metabolites can be achieved.

This project was rewarded with the highest level of achievement, Excellent. It is hoped that, along with advances in this field, the integration of tissue culture with emerging technologies can be a promising way to further advance the development of pharmaceutical raw materials. Together, we can foster a sustainable future for the development of pharmaceutical raw materials that can thrive.
