PT Bintang Toedjoe through its Komix Herbal product has its own way to commemorate World Pharmacist Day. This time they held a Talkshow Goes to School Healthy Generation, Herbal Generation, It's Time for Gen-Z to Get to Know Herbal at SMAN 19 Surabaya, Monday (30/9).
At this event, Komix Herbal presented trusted speakers. Among them are the Surabaya Branch Management of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), the Surabaya Food and Drug Monitoring Center (BBPOM), the East Java Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) and media partner Radar Surabaya.
Area Manager of PT Bintang Toedjoe Surabaya, Muhammad Rinaldy said that his party wanted to invite Gen-Z to love herbal medicine products more.
Komix Herbal is one of PT Bintang Toedjoe's products whose ingredients use herbs and is now one of the products favored by the public.
"We invite various parties to educate Gen-Z and get useful counseling," said Rinaldy.
Meanwhile, the Head of PC IAI Surabaya Rizal Umar explained that his party invited students of SMAN 19 Surabaya to be more vigilant and careful about the drugs they will consume. For example, paying attention to the expiration date and category of the drug.
"We must also pay attention to the correct way to store drugs. For that, you can ask about the drugs consumed at the pharmacy, licensed drug store, hospital, or health center," he explained.
BBPOM Surabaya also did not want to miss out on providing insight for students. The Middle Expert Pharmacy and Food Supervisor of BBPOM Surabaya, Retno Chatulistiani P explained the effects of eating the wrong thing carelessly.
Therefore, if you want to consume medicine, it must be checked first. Because if you are not careful, it can cause kidney and liver problems.
"We must not take expired medicine. The permit number must also be observed carefully," explained Retno.
On the other hand, the Young Expert Narcotics Counselor of the East Java BNNP, Stefrin Jeanive, invited students of SMAN 19 Surabaya to become Anti-Drug Ambassadors in their respective regions. Because by becoming Anti-Drug Ambassadors, it is hoped that they can influence their surroundings to be more vigilant and avoid the negative impacts of drugs.
East Java Province is currently ranked second in terms of drug trafficking. There are 7,462 villages that are prone to drugs in East Java. Therefore, all parties need to be more vigilant and aware to avoid drugs.
Komix Herbal is a herbal cough medicine made from natural red ginger and lagundi leaves. Lagundi leaves (Vitex Negundo) are one of the herbs that contain active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and triterpenoids which have anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and expectorant properties.
