PT Bintang Toedjoe through Komix Herbal products has its own way to commemorate World Pharmacist Day. This time they held a Talkshow Goes to School Healthy Generation, Herbal Generation, Time for Gen-Z to Know Herbal at SMAN 19 Surabaya, Monday (30/9).

At this event, Komix Herbal presented trusted speakers. Among them were the Branch Manager of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) Surabaya, the Food and Drug Supervisory Center (BBPOM) Surabaya, the East Java Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) and media partner Radar Surabaya.

Area Manager of PT Bintang Toedjoe Surabaya, Muhammad Rinaldy revealed, his party wanted to invite Gen-Z to love herbal medicine products more. Komix Herbal is one of PT Bintang Toedjoe's products whose ingredients use herbs and is now one of the products favored by the public. “We invite various parties while educating Gen-Z and getting useful counseling,” said Rinaldy.

Meanwhile, Chairman of PC IAI Surabaya Rizal Umar explained that his party invited students of SMAN 19 Surabaya to be more vigilant and careful about the drugs they would consume. For example, paying attention to the expiration date and drug category. “We must also pay attention to the correct way of storing medicines. For that, you can ask about the drugs consumed at pharmacies, licensed drug stores, hospitals, or health centers,” he explained.

BPOM Surabaya also did not want to miss out on providing insight for the students. BBPOM Surabaya Associate Expert Food and Pharmacy Supervisor Retno Chatulistiani P explained about the effects of eating carelessly. Therefore, if you want to take medicine, it must be checked first. Because if not careful, it can make kidney and liver problems. “Don't let us take expired medicine. The license number must also be examined properly,” explained Retno.

On the other hand, East Java BNNP's Junior Expert Drug Counselor, Stefrin Jeanive, invited students of SMAN 19 Surabaya to become Anti-Drug Ambassadors in their respective areas. By becoming Anti-Drug Ambassadors, it is hoped that they can influence their surroundings to be more vigilant and avoid the negative effects of drugs.

East Java Province is currently ranked second for drug trafficking. There are 7,462 drug-prone villages in East Java. Therefore, all parties need to be more vigilant and aware in order to avoid drugs.

Komix Herbal is an herbal cough medicine made from natural red ginger and lagundi leaves.
