Bintang Toedjoe Celebrates Cap Go Meh Singkawang 2024
PT Bintang Toedjoe (B7), through Extra Joss, celebrated Cap Go Meh Singkawang 2024 on February 24, 2024. The event was centered at the Tri Dharma Bumi Raya Vihara in Singkawang City, West Kalimantan.
Cap Go Meh is a Chinese celebration observed on the 15th day of Chinese New Year, marking the end of New Year celebration. Uniquely in Singkawang, the Cap Go Meh celebration is not only embraced by ethnic Chinese; relatives from other ethnicities also join in the ritual. This event has become an attraction for domestic and international tourists.
Alongside Bobon Santoso, a YouTuber known for sharing extraordinary cooking content, Extra Joss is served in unique packaging, namely Extra Joss toren. The celebration featured hundreds of liters of Extra Joss in the toren around the city and more than 500 glasses were distributed to those in attendance. The aim is to ensure that all attendees can quench their thirst by drinking Extra Joss while witnessing the Cap Go Meh ritual. Men drink Extra Joss!
