SMK Kesehatan Dewantara Cikarang Utara visits PT Bintang Toedjoe Site Cikarang.
Cikarang, 20 November 2025 – PT Bintang Toedjoe (B7) welcomed students and teachers from SMK Kesehatan Dewantara Cikarang Utara for an educational company visit to the B7 Cikarang production site. This activity provided first-hand learning for students to understand how the modern herbal industry operates, applies high-quality production standards, and implements the latest technologies.
During the visit, participants were guided through the production area via the viewing gallery, accompanied by the B7 team, to observe the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality control systems, and integrated operational management. The students also had the opportunity to engage in discussions and ask questions about production processes, quality management, and the technological innovations used at B7.
One of the key agendas of the visit was a mini talk show titled “Innovation and Development of Herbal Products: From Natural Ingredients to Modern Formulation.” In this session, the speaker, apt. Syarif Adi Pratama, Formulation Development Manager at B7, explained how herbal product development continues to evolve—from traditional, natural-based formulations to modern, standardized, and higher-quality formulations.
Through this session, the students gained insights into how modern technology supports the development of herbal-based products, enabling them to become more stable, safe, and effective. The interactive discussion also emphasized the importance of collaboration between schools and the industry to drive innovation in formulations that meet today’s public health needs.
“It was amazing to be given the opportunity to tour the outstanding PT Bintang Toedjoe. Thank you very much to PT Bintang Toedjoe for welcoming us from SMK Kesehatan Dewantara Cikarang Utara. “Here, we saw the Red Ginger Garden, the factory, and enjoyed exciting games. We hope this visit adds to our experience and education. The industrial visit to PT Bintang Toedjoe was truly enjoyable,” said Salza Nabila Azahra, a student of SMK Kesehatan Dewantara Cikarang Utara.
The group also visited the Red Ginger Garden, one of B7’s signature areas for developing high-quality herbal raw materials. Here, students learned about seed selection, cultivation techniques, and the maintenance of red ginger—an essential ingredient in various B7 products—along with other herbal plants. This session helped them understand the importance of a sustainable herbal supply chain, from cultivation to industrial processing.
This company visit is expected to inspire students and broaden their perspectives on best practices within the herbal industry, supported by modern technology and innovation.
